Compliance Administrator
Location: Dartford, Kent
Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
Salary: £13.80 per hour
Position: Temporary ongoing

About the Role as a Compliance Administrator
Our client is a respected organisation, based in Dartford, Kent. They are known for maintaining high standards of operational excellence, compliance, and security. As part of a dedicated team, you will be contributing to critical support functions within a fast-paced and regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities as a Compliance Administrator:

  • Provide excellent communication and customer service support
  • Prepare and process import/export customs documentation using specialist software
  • Handle a wide range of customs entries, including warehousing, excise goods, licensed products, transit documents, and CFSP
  • Manage CFSP, SFD, and SDI requirements
  • Work with internal and external systems to ensure accurate processing
  • Ensure full customs compliance, supporting maintenance of AEO status
  • Stay updated on customs regulations and procedures
  • Advise both internal teams and external clients on customs-related matters
  • Identify, report, and assist in resolving documentation or processing errors
  • Manage the distribution and control of relevant documentation
  • Liaise effectively with customers and internal departments
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to enquiries from clients and colleagues

What We’re Looking For as a Compliance Administrator:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of Customs rules and regulations
  • Good level of PC literacy on MS Word/Excel, Outlook or similar
  • Query management skills.
  • Customer service experience
  • Must be a confident communicator, with a great team working approach.
  • Ability to interpret information and raise issues

Key Competencies as a Compliance Administrator

  • Ability to learn quickly and retain information
  • Good communication skills (both written and spoken)
  • Good organizational, administrative and communications skills and the ability to work on own initiative and to deliver agreed actions on time
  • Good team player
  • Attention to detail
  • Organised and methodical, with attention to detail.

To be eligible for the role as a Compliance Administrator you need:

  • NO unspent convictions and be able to pass a basic Criminal Record Check/Disclosure (DBS check)
  • Ability to provide 3 years referencing contacts and employment history The right to work in the UK
