We are seeking an experienced Year 6 Primary Teacher for a part-time position starting in September. This role is a job share with the Assistant Headteacher and offers a temp to permanent opportunity, ideal for candidates seeking long-term roles. The successful candidate will have substantial teaching experience, ideally with knowledge of SATS, to ensure an equal distribution of class responsibilities.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Collaborate closely with the Assistant Headteacher to plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons aligned with the Year 6 curriculum.
- Share responsibility for assessing and monitoring student progress, ensuring high educational standards are maintained.
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive, supportive learning environment.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and school events as required.
- Support the Assistant Headteacher by taking on a significant share of teaching responsibilities, allowing them to focus on their additional duties.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with substantial experience in a primary school setting.
- Strong background in teaching Year 6, with specific knowledge of preparation for SATS.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, capable of managing a job share effectively.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
