Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, teach, and deliver dynamic and engaging lessons in line with the Year 5 National Curriculum, with a strong focus on developing pupils' skills in literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking.

  • Use a variety of assessment methods to monitor pupil progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents, and using data to inform future planning.

Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

  • Strong understanding of the Year 5 curriculum and experience in teaching Key Stage 2 pupils.

  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, focused learning environment.

  • Ability to assess pupil progress and differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
