Learning Support Assistant - (DA3 Area, Kent)


Pay: 95 - 110 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Long-term / Permanent / Day to Day

About the Role

We're proud to be working with an Outstanding SEN academy in the Dartford area that supports children and young people aged 2-19 with a range of additional needs including ASD, SLD, PMLD, and complex communication or sensory needs.

The school is looking for caring, proactive Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join their dedicated and friendly team. You'll play a vital role in helping pupils achieve their full potential-both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils' learning and well-being under the direction of the class teacher and SEN staff.
  • Provide 1:1 or small-group support to help pupils engage in lessons and activities.
  • Assist with communication, sensory and physical needs, including personal care where required.
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • Contribute to a nurturing, inclusive classroom where every pupil can thrive.

About You

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school or care settings welcomed).
  • Positive, patient and empathetic nature.
  • Good communication skills and ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Team-focused attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Additional SEN-related training (e.g. Makaton, PECS, manual handling) is a bonus but not essential.
