A local company are looking to recruit a Logistics Administrator for a busy and rapidly expanding Logistics/Transport Company, whose Head Office is based on the outskirts of Dartford.

  • Salary upto £28k
  • Hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm
  • Free parking available

This role requires someone who is proficient in customs compliance paperwork and all associated admin in the customs process, whilst also liaising with both the customer and business to ensure all documentation is correct for the transportation of goods across Europe meeting business and customer deadlines and oversee each consignment to completion.

Duties:

  • This role will be work alongside with all areas of the business - liaising transport, bookings, customs, warehouse and of course, clients /customers
  • Provide each customer with the relevant information/custom requirements relating to the country they are moving to.
  • Take responsibility for Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg, Holland, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
  • Allocate each client to spreadsheets
  • Provide ongoing support to clients with any questions they have.
  • Liaise with customs agents once all paperwork for each client has been received and validated against the criteria for that country.
  • Identify and assist customers having difficulty in gaining the paperwork. Provide suggestions,
  • Work with the EU OPs manager to prioritise countries of focus when trips are almost full.
  • Continually review the efficiency/costs
  • Keep all clients updated about the stage of their move (once documentation has been confirmed by customs admin).
  • Lead for delivery dates/times of arrival to come from UK/EU Ops managers.
  • Book shuttles and hotels as needed for crew in Europe/nights out.
  • Raise purchase order requests for all aspects relating to operations, such as shuttle vehicles, custom charges and hotels booked for the crew.
  • Ensure rates are competitive.

The role will also involve providing support and updates to various parts of the business in relation to:

  • Move dates on new & existing bookings,
  • Information gathering & data checking
  • Gaining custom clearance
  • Ensuring all details obtained are checked and verified within deadlines
  • To ensure all moves are a smooth transition for all involved and always consider the customer as a priority

The role will require someone who is a fast learner, loves to coordinate, communicate and update, has great communication skills.

  • Good decision maker, practical and common-sense approach
  • Calm under pressure and who has a great ability to deal with all areas of a business and all variety of clients
