About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical bias (e.g., 60:40, 70:30, or 80:20 mechanical to electrical) to join our team. This role involves working both on-site at our Darwen factory and providing service support at customer sites across the UK and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance, service, and repair work on a range of equipment including:
Shredders
Screeners
Conveyors
Belts
Recycling machinery and equipment
Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs and adjustments.
Provide a high level of customer service during site visits.
Work independently or as part of a team depending on the job scope.
Requirements:
Must be based within 1 hour of site.
Strong mechanical engineering background is essential.
Previous experience working on recycling or similar industrial machinery is highly desirable.
No formal qualifications are required, but hands-on mechanical experience is a must.
Willingness to travel across the UK and Ireland.
Reporting Line:
You will report directly to theSite and Service Manager.
