Working Hours: 08:30 – 17:00 Full time, Office Based.

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are working with an established and well recognised manufacturing business who are currently hiring within their Production Team.   The role will be responsible for planning and optimising production schedules to ensure the  consistent supply of high-quality products, in line with customer demand, regulatory standards, and stock strategies

Main Responsibilities of the Production Planner

  • Develop and maintain short and long-term production schedules for the product base, and related SKUs.
  • Monitor and forecast demand based on sales data, stock levels, and seasonal trends in consumers patterns.
  • Ensure alignment with compliance and regulatory labelling requirements
  • Liaise with Sales, Marketing, and NPD teams to integrate promotional activity, product launches, and customer-specific orders into the production plan.
  • Coordinate batch manufacturing for various nicotine strengths and flavours, ensuring proper sequencing to avoid cross-contamination.
  • Ensure availability of materials including products and packaging.
  • Prepare and manage precise work orders with batch traceability documentation
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance and Regulatory teams to ensure production plans support all compliance requirements.
  • Schedule cleaning and changeover cycles for equipment to maintain GMP and ISO standards.
  • Support product recalls or regulatory audits with detailed production documentation when needed.
  • Monitor real-time production output vs plan; investigate and resolve variances.
  • Proactively identify risks such as material shortages, capacity constraints, or supplier delays.
  • Recommend improvements to scheduling processes to increase flexibility and efficiency, especially in response to volatile demand patterns.

 

Experience and Skills required

  • Experience in a production planning or supply chain role within vaping, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, or  regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of production processes, from mixing and filling to labelling and packing.
  • Familiarity with TPD regulations, product registration processes, and product batch traceability.
  • Strong Excel skills (including pivot tables and advanced formulas) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., OrderWise, SAP).
  • Excellent planning, analytical, and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Effective communicator with strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
