Randstad is seeking a dedicated SEN TA and 1-to-1 support professional to join schools in the Darwen area starting September.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and small group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans for students.
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Create a positive and supportive learning environment for students.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
  • Collaborate with other support staff and professionals to ensure holistic student support.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions as required.

Typical Requirements

  • Qualifications: GCSEs in English and Maths are generally required. Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certification are highly beneficial.

  • Experience: Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is crucial.

  • Personal Attributes: We need people with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who are adaptable, patient, and empathetic.
