Job description:  

  • Daily Rate: £18.05p/hr
  • Location: Darwen, BB3
  • Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (June - July 2025)

Reed/ Lancashire teaching agency are seeking a HLTA for a temporary position from June 2025 until the end of academic year!The role is required for 5 days per week from 08:45 – 15:15. The candidate is expected to provide learning support to pupils.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of daily lessons.
  • Provide support to individual students or small groups to help them understand the material and complete their tasks.
  • Work under the guidance of the class teacher to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help manage classroom resources and setup for activities.
  • Supervise students during non-classroom times including lunch and recess as needed.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and recording of student progress.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must hold a HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in a similar role within a school setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with children.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
