Echelon Engineers are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join a dynamic manufacturing team. You'll be responsible for producing high-quality 2D and 3D technical drawings using SolidWorks, working closely with production, engineering, and sales teams to deliver solutions that meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed manufacturing drawings from 3D models, including fabrication and assembly drawings
  • Generate and manage Bills of Materials within the company ERP system
  • Maintain and update drawings and parts databases with current revisions
  • Ensure all drawings meet quality standards and relevant directives
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to optimise designs
  • Adhere to company procedures, quality assurance protocols, and H&S regulations

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Draughtsman/Design Engineer in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong steelwork fabrication background
  • HNC or equivalent in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
