Tradewind Recruitment is working with a selection of forward-thinking secondary schools across Daventry to recruit confident, reliable Cover Supervisors for September 2025 and beyond. These roles are perfect for graduates considering a career in teaching, support staff looking for a step up, or experienced cover supervisors who thrive on the energy of the classroom and aren't afraid to take the lead.

As a Cover Supervisor, you won't be expected to plan lessons or mark work - but you will be trusted to step into the classroom and keep learning on track when teachers are absent. You'll be the calm in the chaos, the friendly face at the front of the room, and the person who knows how to get a class engaged and focused.

What you'll be doing:

• Delivering pre-set work to KS3 and KS4 students across a range of subjects
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies (firm but fair is the vibe)
• Supporting students where needed and reporting back to teaching staff on progress or issues
• Bringing positive energy to the school day - even if it's a rainy Tuesday morning!

This could be the role for you if:

• You're confident speaking to groups and know how to hold a room
• You have experience working with young people (schools, youth work, coaching - all relevant)
• You're adaptable, professional, and happy to jump into different classrooms and subjects
• You're reliable, punctual, and genuinely enjoy working with secondary age students.
