Inspection Operative

WSR are looking for an Inspection Operative to join the team of our esteemed client based in Daventry.

Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: Double Days - Monday to Thursday - 6am-1:45pm / 1:30am-9:15pm / Fridays - 6am-11:30am / 11:15-5pm
Salary: £25,700

If you love the buzz of manufacturing environments and take pride in spotting what others might miss, this role could be right up your street. We’re looking for someone switched-on, detail-obsessed, and ready to play a key part in a fast-paced print and production setting.

You’ll be the crucial link between production and perfection — making sure every printed material meets the standard before it heads out the door. Your day-to-day will include:

• Carrying out visual and physical checks on printed materials
• Identifying issues like colour inconsistencies, smudges, misregistration, and other print defects
• Setting up multiple slitter units
• Operating a 100% visual inspection system
• Splicing rolls using a splicing table, following precise customer specifications

Must-Haves:

• Experience in a printing or manufacturing environment
• A razor-sharp eye for detail
• A methodical approach and strong focus on accuracy
• A team-first, safety-first attitude
• Confidence following processes, manuals, and quality steps
• Basic computer skills

Nice-To-Haves:

• Previous print inspection or quality control experience
• Familiarity with defect detection tools
• Ability to read and interpret artwork, job specs, and production instructions
