Our client is an established manufacturing business based in Daventry who are seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical bias.

Job Purpose:

To support the running of the factory by resolving breakdowns anddelivering planned maintenance, whilst ensuring work is carried out to the highest possible standard.

Key Tasks:

  • React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected areas, and work efficiently to fix the issue.
  • Investigate reported faults, identify the cause and decide the necessary course of action to rectify the fault
  • Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements to your supervisor.
  • To be responsible for ensuring daily checks as allocated by your supervisor are carried out efficiently and in a timely manner and complete documents as required.
  • Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance as allocated by your supervisor on the full range of equipment within the site to reduce reactive activities.
  • Contribute and help to implement continuous improvement to enhance quality, efficiency, safety and waste reduction.
  • Enter any maintenance on work request forms as required.
  • Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with contractual commitments
  • Help, assist and document the training of others and identify own training needs.
  • Ensure all aspects of health and safety compliance are followed as outlined in Company procedures.
  • Identify and suggest operational and safety improvements.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards in engineering workshops and around the site.
  • Support the Maintenance team and the wider business in any tasks that might reasonably be assigned
