Our client, a global leader in the design, manufacture and supply of advanced core scanning technology. Who provide cutting edge solutions to the research, oil and gas, mining and geotechnical sectors. Are looking to recruit a dynamic and driven Sales & Marketing Executive to join their team in Daventry.

The role:

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and enhancing our clients market presence. You will be involved in a diverse range of activities, including direct sales, sales support and marketing initiatives.

The role offers an exciting career pathway with excellent potential for career progression into either sales and account management or marketing.

Sales & Marketing Executive responsibilities:

Sales:

    • Directly manage sales of specific portfolio components, from initial enquiry to order fulfilment.
    • Provide comprehensive support to the sales team in preparing tenders, proposals, and other sales-related documentation.
    • Maintain accurate sales records and contribute to sales forecasting.
    • Initial response to sales enquiries in a timely, helpful and professional manner.

Marketing:

    • Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities and trends.
    • Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, content creation, and promotional activities.
    • Lead outbound marketing initiatives to generate leads and build brand awareness.
    • Support the organisation and execution of trade shows and industry events.

CRM and Reporting:

    • Maintain and update the CRM system with accurate customer and sales information.
    • Liaise with internal departments to gather monthly reports and forecasts.
    • Analyse sales and marketing data to identify areas for improvement.
    • Support with data entry and maintenance

Client Engagement:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service.
    • Attend industry events and trade shows, representing our client and engaging with potential clients.

Travel:

    • Occasional global travel may be required to attend trade shows, client meetings, or industry events.

Sales & Marketing Requirements:

  • Prior sales experience - B2B.
  • Interest in marketing.
  • Background in geology, earth sciences or analytical instrumentation would be an advantage.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including on the phone, via e-mail and in person
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and enthusiastic attitude.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
