We’re seeking a skilled MET Technician to join a fantastic team at an industry-leading facility in Daventry. About the Role:

As a MET Technician, you’ll play a key role in dismantling vehicles and their components, ensuring that every part is handled with precision, care, and organisation. You’ll be responsible for methodically taking apart key mechanical, electrical, and structural vehicle components for restoration or reuse. While engines form part of the work, your role will span a variety of systems and assemblies across the vehicle.

Key Responsibilities:

As a MET Technician, you will be essential to the restoration process by ensuring all components are carefully handled and catalogued for reuse or refurbishment. Your duties will include:

Vehicle & Component Disassembly:

  • Methodically dismantling a range of vehicle components and assemblies (including but not limited to engines, drivetrains, suspension, and body parts).
  • Identifying, sorting, and organising all removed parts for inspection and cataloguing.

Inspection and Assessment:

  • Conducting visual and functional checks to evaluate the condition of mechanical and structural components.
  • Highlighting parts suitable for reuse, repair, or replacement.

Cleaning and Rework:

  • Cleaning, preparation, and restoration of reusable components.
  • Operating shot blast and parts cleaning equipment.

Cataloguing and Documentation:

  • Labelling and documenting all parts, ensuring accurate records in the inventory management system.
  • Assisting in inventory organisation to maintain a smooth workflow across restoration and rebuild teams.

Collaborative Work:

  • Working closely with technicians and restoration specialists to meet project-specific requirements.
  • Communicating clearly with team members to maintain efficiency and quality.

Maintenance of Workspace and Tools:

  • Keeping the disassembly area clean, organised, and safe.
  • Proper care and maintenance of tools and workshop equipment.
