The Client:

Interaction Technical is proud to be working in partnership with a leading plant and access equipment specialist based in Northampton. With a reputation for quality service and technical excellence, the company is expanding its workshop team and seeking an experienced Plant Fitter to join their operation. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a well-equipped facility on a wide range of small and heavy plant machinery, with access equipment included.

The Package:

  • £27,000–£30,000 annual salary
  • Monday–Friday 08:00–17:00 schedule (no weekends)
  • 23 days annual leave + bank holidays

The Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain plant equipment and workshop areas
  • Drive to suppliers to collect tools, parts, and materials
  • Carry out painting, sweeping, and general yard duties
  • Assist with basic mechanical tasks under supervision
  • Ensure the yard and workshop are kept safe, tidy, and well-organized
  • Support the engineering and signage teams with ad hoc tasks

The Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Hands-on, practical mindset with a willingness to learn
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and physically fit
  • Interest in mechanical development and open to training
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
