Coba Education is seeking compassionate and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis in Daventry and surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced support staff or those with a passion for working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

As a supply SEN TA, you’ll play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties. You’ll be placed in local primary and/or secondary schools, offering 1:1 support or working with small groups, depending on the needs of the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.

  • Assist the class teacher with classroom management and lesson delivery.

  • Promote positive behaviour and inclusion across the school day.

  • Adapt activities and resources to meet individual needs.

  • Follow individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans.

  • Ensure the safety, care, and well-being of all pupils in your care.

  • Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals.


Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in school or alternative settings).

  • A calm, patient, and flexible approach to support.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

  • Right to work in the UK.

  • A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE, Level 2/3 TA, or SEN-specific training) is desirable but not essential.
