We are looking for a talented Chef De Partie to join our talented team at Updown Farmhouse.
Updown is a multi award winning luxury Hotel & Restaurant set in a magical former farmstead with acres of beautiful gardens and woodland.
We serve breakfast, lunch & dinner in the main restaurant as well as room service and we have a busy events and group bookings schedule.
We use a small selection of the best suppliers, both local and European. All of our meat for breakfast comes from The Black Pig in Deal; seasonal veg is a mix of the Goods Shed, Merchant of Relish, Walmastone Growers and La Sovrana. Our fish comes from Jenkins and Son fishmonger and our meat comes from our long time butcher HG Walter.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook dishes to the highest standards according to menu specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to food safety standards and regulations.
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chefs in menu development and daily kitchen operations.
- Train and mentor junior members of the kitchen team, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative working atmosphere.
Experience and Skills:
- At least two years of chef de partie experience in a kitchen with high standards.
- A team player with a passion for learning and development.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting with staff.
