ICT/Computing Teacher - SEN School (Autism Focus)

Academics Ltd is proud to be working closely with an exceptional SEN school dedicated to providing high-quality education and support for students with autism. The school is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic ICT/Computing Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis, starting 1st September 2025.

About the Role:

  • Teach ICT and Computing to small classes of students with autism, tailoring lessons to suit their individual needs and abilities.
  • Create and deliver engaging, interactive lessons that inspire students to explore technology and develop practical computing skills.
  • Work closely with a team of staff to deliver a holistic and individualised approach to education.
  • Support students in developing digital literacy skills and the confidence to use technology in their daily lives.
  • Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment that encourages learning and personal growth.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven teaching experience.
  • Strong subject knowledge in ICT and Computing, with the ability to teach a range of topics.
  • Experience working with students with autism or special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • A passion for technology and a commitment to making it accessible for all students.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a supportive team.
  • Patience, empathy, and an understanding approach to students' individual learning needs.
