SEN Teaching Assistant - ASC & ADHD Specialist School - Deal

Academics Ltd is recruiting a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming, specialist school in Deal that supports pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and ADHD. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and develop essential life skills. This nurturing school provides tailored learning experiences for pupils with ASC and ADHD. Staff focus on structure, consistency, and personalised strategies that help every child feel safe, engaged, and understood. The team works closely to create a calm, predictable environment where students can thrive both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with pupils who require emotional, behavioural and academic support
Help students regulate emotions, develop resilience and engage positively in lessons
Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group interventions
Assist teachers in delivering structured, motivating and supportive learning activities
Contribute to a safe, stable and nurturing environment where every pupil can thrive

What We're Looking For

Experience supporting children with ASC, ADHD, or other SEN (preferred but not essential)
A calm, patient, and proactive approach
Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships
Understanding of sensory needs and the importance of routine
A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs

** Excellent on-site training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students

** 90 - 100 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Term time only

** You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorship
