Rotheram Carrington Financial Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a well-established organisation located 30 minutes from Chester, Ellesmere Port, and the Wirral areas, in their recruitment of an Assistant Accountant to join their team. This 12-month contract is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with key stakeholders, across various departments to foster better communication, provide maintenance of the fixed asset register and support the review of actual costs against department budgets and forecasts.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful individual will be responsible for the following duties:

Your new job:

  • Indirect budget responsibility for the capital expenditure and depreciation, including the production of budget and reforecast information
  • Support and deliver period, quarterly and year-end reports and associated reconciliations
  • Support the department in the completion of period-end tasks within set deadlines
  • Various ad hoc duties to support the wider finance teams and any projects

What you will need to succeed:

  • AAT part or fully qualified
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to influence and challenge when necessary
  • Strong communicator with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong computer literacy, with advanced Excel and SAP would be advantageous
