PURPOSEOFROLE

  • Supportandguidemanagersoncomplexmatters,suchascapability,seriousconduct,employeerelations,suspensions,andinvestigationmanagement.Thisincludesreviewinginvestigationreportsandcomplexlettersorcommunications.
  • Beanexpertinyourfieldandbeabletoprovideaprofessional,proactive,telephone,andwrittenHRadvisoryservicetomanagersatalllevelsacrossthebusiness.
  • Beapointofcontactprovidingactivesupporttomanagersintheday-to-daycasemanagementofserious/complexemploymentissues,whileatalltimesconsideringthecommercialconstraintsofthebusinessandthelegalframework

KEYACCOUNTABILITIES/TASKS

  • ResponsibleformanagingaportfolioofHRcases,schedulingandprioritisingactivitiesbasedontheneedsofeachcaseandapplicabledeadlinesortimescales
  • BeasupportmechanismwithinthewiderHRteam;Liaiseanddevelopeffectiveworkingrelationshipswithwiderstakeholders
  • Provideover-the-phoneandface-to-facesupporttoManagersoractasHRleadoncomplexpeoplematters,includinghearingsandappealswithinnationwidelocations
  • Reviewandprepareletters/documentsinreadinessforandafterformalhearings,andprovidefeedbacktoManagerswhererequired
  • RecordcasesaccuratelyontheCaseManagementSystem,andensurethatcasesaremanagedproactivelyanddriventhroughtoconclusion
  • Takeeveryopportunitytocoachmanagersinaspectsofpeoplemanagement,includingcommunication,robustdecision-making,fairness,consistency,andapplication
  • EnsuregoodemploymentpracticethroughtheprovisionofclearadviceandguidanceinlinewithHRpolicies,procedures,andguidelines
  • Adoptapragmaticapproachinofferingsolutionstomanagers,whilerecognisinglegalandregulatoryrequirements.
  • Workautonomouslywhilstusingyourinitiative,ondelegatedworkareas,andwhereappropriate,seekadvicefromseniorcolleagueswhenrequired

  • Demonstrable,comprehensive,up-to-dateworkingknowledgeofUKemploymentlawandlegislationanditsimplicationsforemployers

  • Demonstratestrongpartnershipworkingwithavarietyofstakeholders
  • CIPDqualified(ideallyLevel5)
  • ExperienceinapplyingacommercialandpragmaticapproachtoprovidingHRrisk-basedsolutionstodifficultissuesthatarisewithinchallengingsituations
  • Abilitytoworkflexiblyinanagilewaytomeetdeadlinesandrespondpositivelyandconstructivelytofeedback
