A warm and welcoming community cafe in Conwy is looking for an experienced Chef/Cook to prepare delicious, home-style dishes for its daytime service. The cafe is open to the public and is known for its wholesome menu, relaxed atmosphere, and its commitment to supporting adults with learning disabilities. This is a daytime chef/cook role with no evening shifts, offering an excellent work–life balance.
What We're Looking For:
• An experienced Chef or Cook confident in preparing home-style, comforting dishes such as soups, casseroles, snacks, cakes and toasted items.
• Someone who enjoys working in a calm, community-focused environment.
• A friendly, patient individual who is comfortable being around adults with learning disabilities.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage prep, service and daily cafe routines independently.
• Reliability, warmth and a positive, can-do attitude.
- A clear Enhanced Adult DBS.
Key Responsibilities:
• Preparing a wholesome daytime menu including light meals, baked goods, and simple cafe dishes.
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen.
• Managing daily prep, service and stock rotation efficiently.
• Working alongside Support Workers who accompany individuals with learning disabilities.
