As we continue our journey of growth and expansion to serve the new era of nuclear energy, Boccard, as a leading specialist in engineering, manufacturing, construction and maintenance in the nuclear energy industry, are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to join our team here at Boccard.

The Facilities Manager will report to the Manufacturing Manager and will oversee all building related activities at Boccards UK Manufacturing site, ensuring compliance, efficiency, preserving the good condition of the infrastructure and ensure that facilities are safe and well functioning.

Based at UK Manufacturing facility in Deeside, the Facilities Manager responsibilities will include:

Supervising and negotiating contracts with service providers for facilities such as security, parking, cleaning and technology

Ensure essential amenities, such as water and heating, are in order

Ensure the standards of the manufacturing facility are in line with government regulations

Ensure the facilities meet environmental, health and safety standards

Supervise new building projects, managing facility renovations and refurbishments

Inspect buildings structure to determine the need for repairs and renovations

Prepare and review service charge budgets, ensuring all necessary works are considered for the upcoming year

End-of-year service charge reporting

Perform routine property inspections and complete detailed reports

Monitor and resolve risk assessments within designated timeframes

Keeping up to date with Health & Safety legislation and sector specific requirements.

Candidates must demonstrate:

Proven experience as facilities manager or relevant experience

Knowledge of technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices

Excellent organisational and leadership skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Understanding of health and safety compliance system

Skills and qualification

Hold a relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFM) is desirable

Knowledge of MS Pack Office (especially Excel)
