We're working with a successful and growing manufacturing business based in Deeside, currently looking to recruit a Production Supervisor to join their team.

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading a team of assembly and dispatch operatives to ensure the efficient and high-quality production of goods. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of both departments, ensuring health and safety compliance, hitting production targets, and continuously improving productivity and quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the assembly department in accordance with the production schedule issued by Production Control
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the despatch team to meet production and delivery schedules
  • Maintain accurate records of production output, attendance, incidents, and equipment issues
  • Coordinate with the production control team regarding the assembly order needs and notify any issues or worries that could threaten the production timeline
  • Ensuring finished product matches expected quality standard
  • Coordinate requirements with other departments, keep the operations manager informed about workflow, and make sure KPIs are maintained
  • Maintain a strong focus on quality, ensuring products meet company and customer specifications
  • Monitor performance, provide training and support to team members, and conduct regular performance reviews
  • Induct new employees and provide on the job training
  • Interact with team members to resolve problems, suggest improvement methods of working, and provide feedback in performance

The person:
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principle
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
