- Conduct fit-up and visual inspections of welded joints in compliance with BS EN ISO 13480, BS EN 1090, and other relevant codes.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate inspection records, including non-conformance documentation and follow-up actions.
- Prepare, review, and manage Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), ensuring all stages are properly executed and documented.
- Evaluate Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Records (WQR).
- Collaborate with welders, supervisors, and quality control teams to maintain high standards throughout project execution.
- Monitor welding-related safety practices and ensure appropriate use of PPE.
- Provide technical guidance to welding teams, including training support and performance evaluations.
- Ensure correct use of specified materials, consumables, and filler materials.
- Report inspection results clearly and effectively to construction managers, contributing to project meetings and discussions.
- Proven experience in welding inspection, ideally within industrial piping or construction environments.
- Relevant certification such as CSWIP 3.1, AWS CWI, or PCN Level 2 preferred.
- In-depth understanding of welding standards, including ASME, AWS D1.1, and BS EN ISO 9606.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Valid equivalent CSCS card required.
