The Role

Our client is a leading supplier of Plant Machinery and Tools and has a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanically skilled Field Service Technician to join their expanding Engineering Team.

The successful applicant will work from various sites, principally across the East Midlands and surrounding areas, to service and repair plant machinery and equipment for our client's growing customer base. The role offers great variety (no two days are the same!) for those looking to develop and harness their mechanical engineering skills!

Key responsibilities

  • Attending breakdowns at customer sites, carrying out fault finding and maintenance on plant and construction machinery
  • Ensuring all work undertaken is compliant with manufacturer guidelines and recommendations
  • Adhering to health and safety standards
  • Providing outstanding customer service, ensuring our client is represented in the best light at all times
  • Maintaining accurate and timely records of all work undertaken!

What you must have

  • Experience as a plant engineer, fitter or technician or plant mechanic.
  • Experience on machineries such as excavators, diggers, rollers, dumpers is highly desirable
  • Self-motivated & to work independently, with minimum of supervision
  • A confident and professional manner, with a strong sense of customer-awareness
  • Full Driving licence (essential)
  • An industry-recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)
