Description
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Support the reconciliation of accounts, including bank and supplier statements.
- Maintain accurate records for accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts for the department.
- Assist with VAT returns and other regulatory compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline financial processes and systems.
- Provide administrative support to the accounting and finance department as needed.
- Participate in ad hoc projects and tasks to support the organisation's financial goals.
Profile
A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:
- A strong foundation in accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and spreadsheets.
- Experience in month end and management accounts duties.
- An eye for detail and a focus on accuracy in financial reporting.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Studying towards CIMA / ACCA or recently completed AAT Level 4.
- Relevant qualifications or progress towards an accounting certification (study support available).
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
