Deli Van Business ManagerHybrid – Field, Office & Home-Based£40,000 per annum + OTE £60,000Full time, permanent

Our client, a well-established and growing East Midlands business is seeking a Deli Van Business Manager to take full ownership of their successful deli van operation.

This is a varied and rewarding role combining sales growth, people leadership and operational management. You’ll lead a team of deli van drivers who deliver high-quality, fresh food to workplaces across the region while driving new business, optimising routes and maximising profitability.

You’ll be hands-on splitting your time between travelling with drivers, visiting clients, analysing sales data and implementing strategies to increase revenue and customer reach.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth by identifying new opportunities and expanding the customer base

  • Increase gross profit through strategic pricing, cost control and improved efficiencies

  • Analyse sales data, producing regular reports with insights and recommendations

  • Lead, motivate and manage a team of deli van drivers, including recruitment, training and performance management

  • Optimise and expand delivery routes based on performance and potential new stops

  • Ensure all vans meet brand presentation and merchandising standards

  • Gather and act on customer feedback to enhance products and services

Skills & experience required:

  • Proven experience in sales, business development or commercial management

  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent commercial awareness and a target-driven approach

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on sales data

  • Confident communicator and negotiator with strong relationship-building skills

  • Flexible and adaptable, comfortable working across the field, office and home

Desirable:

  • Experience within the food, catering or logistics sector

  • Knowledge of route planning and territory management

  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
