As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will provide compassionate, high-quality care tailored to the individual needs of children and young people. Through consistent support and encouragement, you will help create a safe and nurturing environment where young people feel a true sense of belonging. This stable foundation will empower them to understand and work through past experiences and current challenges, ultimately enabling them to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and enable children and young people to achieve their personal goals and full potential.
  • Undertake commissioned work within Children and Young People's Services as required.
  • Ensure that all young people receive a sensitive and inclusive service that meets their social, emotional, cultural, educational, physical, and health needs.
  • Act as a Key Worker for specified young people, implementing, monitoring, and recording individual Placement Plans in collaboration with your supervisor and the wider team.
  • Contribute to the provision of a caring, safe, and supportive living environment within the Home.
  • Welcome and integrate new placements into the Home in line with policy and procedure, ensuring a smooth and positive transition.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working directly with children and young people.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
