Role Overview
An experienced Project Manager with proven structural steel / steel structures / structural engineering experience, is required to join a continually growing, reputable structural company who work on a multitude of projects, including: structural buildings & cladding, rail, construction, rail, MOD, utilities and nuclear.
The Project Manager will manage multiple complex projects to completion, leading projects through every stage of the project life cycle, from planning to delivery. As a Project Manager, youll be a key member of the team, responsible for establishing and maintaining a strong rapport
with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and time
management skills and strong attention to detail.
Salary £35,000 - £42,000 dependant on experience
Office based - Monday to Friday
Commutable From: Derby, Nottingham, Leicester, Burton upon Trent, Tamworth, Lichfield
Project Manager Candidate Requirements
- Academic qualification in Project Management would be ideal, but isnt essential
- Proven experience across either structural steel, steel structures or structural engineering
- Demonstrated expertise in project management through all phases of a project life cycle
- Advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and time constraints in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced knowledge of project management best practices and methodologies and commitment to improving internal practices
Project Manager Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)
- Involved in project planning sessions to set project goals and objectives, determine timelines, define tasks, and outline resources necessary to successfully complete the project
- Select and manage a team from among internal and external sub-contractors
- Monitor the progress of projects, including addressing issues that may arise and ensuring project deliverables are completed on time
- Use an appropriate tracking tool to coordinate different elements of the project
- Follow standard processes as defined by the Association for Project Management (APM) or Project Management Institute (PMI)
- Manage relevant budgets ensure compliance with processes such as RFP generation and PO generation
