Civil Design Engineer

Civil Design Engineer - Derby

Working for a Design Consultancy on various frameworks within the Power and Energy sectors.

Location: Derby

(Hybrid working 3-4 days in the office, 1-2 days from home) Depending on your knowledge and ability.

Salary: - 40,000 - 50,000 basic + Package

Responsibilities:

• Undertake civil and structural designs, using supporting calculations, and create technical drawings.
• Take responsibility for smaller projects or working in collaboration on larger schemes.
• Provide knowledge sharing, and mentoring to less experienced / Graduate team members.
• Use Computer-Aided Design and other associated 3D Modelling tools such as Rivet, Steel modelling.
• Provide material take-offs, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), for the cost estimation.
• Maintain drawing standards, layers, symbols, and ensure constructability.

Qualification / Experience

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a minimum of HND in Civil Engineering.
• Proven experience taking calculations through to detailed design.
• Living in the local area of Derby
