They are at a pivotal stage in their growth journey, with a newly established sales function and a significant opportunity for the right person to make a tangible impact. They are looking for a sharp communicator who thrives in B2B engagement and has experience navigating long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
The Role
We are looking for a Business Development Executive to join the team on a full time, permanent basis. You'll be the driving force behind identifying, nurturing, and converting B2B opportunities. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll manage your pipeline autonomously, engage with decision-makers, and work closely with our technical team to understand client setups and needs.
This is a functional (not strategic) sales role that requires a hands-on, proactive individual who can hit activity targets and drive results without needing hand-holding. You'll work across lead generation, qualification, and initial engagement - building relationships that will ultimately lead to long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and develop the early stages of the sales pipeline using a structured sales playbook and onboarding guide.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, including decision-makers and gatekeepers across target organisations.
- Work from a database of over 300 qualified contacts; engage prospects ranging from cold outreach to those nearing contract expiration.
- Conduct telesales, cold calling, and occasional in-person visits to better understand client environments and IT infrastructure.
- Accurately manage and maintain records in Zoho CRM, ensuring pipeline progression and data integrity.
- Attend local networking events to build relationships and generate new business leads.
- Work independently to meet and exceed call targets, engagement goals, and conversion KPIs.
- Leverage a content marketing pipeline to support outreach and follow-ups.
About You
- Minimum 2-3 years of B2B sales experience (essential), ideally within an MSP or IT services environment (desirable).
- Experience managing complex B2B sales processes with multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles.
- Strong understanding of pipeline management and CRM systems (preferably Zoho).
- A natural "grinder" - resilient, self-motivated, and target-driven.
- Comfortable working independently without needing a team around you or constant supervision.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable and confident in networking settings.
- Willingness to travel locally to attend meetings and visit client sites (must have a full driving licence and own vehicle).
- Comfortable engaging with technical terminology and learning from engineers to understand product offerings.
