Job Summary

We’re urgently supporting a well-established NHS and Private dental practice in Derby to recruit Associate Dentists or Locum Dentists for regular, ongoing work. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team, with flexible days, a stable patient base and excellent earning potential.

The practice is mixed NHS/private, modern and patient-focused. They are looking to expand the business.

Duties

  • Provide high-quality NHS dental care in line with UDA targets
  • Carry out routine dental procedures including examinations, fillings, extractions, and preventive treatments
  • Manage a list of NHS patients with autonomy and clinical freedom
  • Maintain clear and accurate clinical records in accordance with GDC and NHS guidelines
  • Deliver patient care in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring excellent chairside manner
  • Liaise with practice staff and management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Provide private treatments or upsell where appropriate

Skills

  • GDC registered with active NHS Performer Number
  • Sound understanding of NHS dental contracts and UDA-based work
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet UDA expectations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – friendly and professional with patients
  • Excellent clinical judgement and time management
  • Comfortable working in a mixed NHS/private setting
  • Experience using dental software systems (e.g. R4, SOE) is an advantage
