Industrial Electrician
Location: Derby
Salary: £20.00–£24.00per hour + Overtime (Time-and-a-Half) + Call Out £50 + Fully Expensed Travel + Progression Pathway
Neos Engineering are partnering with a well-established industrial electrical contractor supporting major heavy-industry clients across the Midlands. Due to continued demand and a growing workload, they are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join their field-based team operating across Derby and wider UK industrial sites.
The Role:
• Work on heavy industrial electrical systems including large-scale 3-phase machinery, high-load circuits and large cables.
• Carry out installs, maintenance, repairs and fault-finding within factories, rail environments and major industrial facilities
• Operate as part of a two-man engineering team, ensuring safe working practices at all times
• Follow a structured onboarding plan designed to mould you into the company’s technical standards and working methods
• Travel to sites across the UK with all expenses fully covered
• Work 8-hour standard shifts with time-and-a-half paid after standard hours
• Support 24/7 engineering operations for key clients bvlue chip clients (call-out only once fully inducted)
• Maintain accurate job records, safety documentation and electrical compliance standards
The Candidate:
• Qualified Industrial Electrician (NVQ Level 3 + 18th Edition required)
• Proven background in heavy industrial environments — rail, manufacturing, heavy plant, production or similar
• Experience working with large cables, 3-phase systems and high-load industrial equipment
• Strong awareness of electrical safety and industrial best practice
• Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel and work away as needed
• Ideally located within 45 minutes of Derby HQ
• Able to work as part of a small, highly skilled engineering team
