- Business Partnering - Be the primary financial contact for a directorate, offering hands-on support, guidance, and analysis to budget holders and senior stakeholders.
- Budgeting & Forecasting - Lead the preparation and consolidation of detailed budgets and forecasts (P&L and Capex), including insightful variance analysis and narrative reporting.
- Month-End Ownership - Oversee period-end close, ensuring accuracy of transactions, reconciliations, and producing directorate-level commentary.
- Performance Reporting - Deliver meaningful management reports and host regular review sessions with budget owners to drive accountability and action.
- Business Case Support - Lead financial modelling and evaluation of business cases, from initiation through to post-investment review.
- Audit & Year-End - Play a key role in half- and full-year activities, working closely with internal and external auditors.
- Collaboration & Control - Liaise with the Shared Service Centre to resolve queries, improve processes and ensure a strong financial control environment.
What Are We Looking For?
- You'll be CIMA / ACA / ACCA qualified (or nearly qualified!), with experience working in a fast-paced and complex business.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and management accounting with high attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence, challenge and build relationships at all levels.
- A proactive mindset - someone who thrives on taking ownership, solving problems, and driving improvements.
- Excellent Excel skills and a strong understanding of financial systems and modelling.
What's in it for You?
- £45,500 - £51,000 base salary
- Generous benefits package
- Exposure to senior stakeholders and meaningful projects
- Real opportunity to influence business decisions and outcomes
- Join a reputable, stable business with an inclusive, team-driven culture
