Role responsibilities

  • Leading a portfolio of complex personal tax clients including HNWIs, business owners, landlords and trusts
  • Providing expert advice on inheritance tax planning, capital gains, estate structuring, and residency matters
  • Reviewing complex tax returns and ensuring full compliance with HMRC requirements
  • Acting as a key contact for high-value clients, developing long-term, trusted relationships
  • Supporting the Head of Tax in strategic planning and development of the tax function
  • Mentoring, developing and overseeing junior tax staff, including technical training
  • Playing a central role in business development, including client pitches and networking

Candidate requirements

  • CTA qualified, or ACA/ACCA qualified with significant post-qualification experience in personal tax

  • Excellent technical knowledge of UK tax legislation, particularly in capital gains, inheritance tax and trusts
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a client-first approach
  • Demonstrated experience in developing junior staff and contributing to firm strategy
