Teacher of PE - Full-Time | Secondary School - Derby | September 2025 Start

  • Daily Rate: £162.30 - £223.62 (dependent on experience and pay scale)

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Derby to recruit a passionate and energetic Teacher of PE to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2025. This is a long-term role for the academic year, with the potential for a permanent position.

About the Role:

As a Teacher of PE, you will deliver a dynamic and engaging Physical Education curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will inspire students to lead active, healthy lifestyles and promote teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship both in lessons and through extra-curricular opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons across a range of sports and activities

  • Support student progress through effective teaching, feedback, and assessment

  • Organise and lead extra-curricular sports clubs, fixtures, and events

  • Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support whole-school objectives

Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching PE at Key Stage 3 and 4 (KS5 experience is desirable but not essential)

  • A passion for sport, physical activity, and student development

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
