About the Role
We are seeking a skilled NDT Inspector (Volumetric) to join a well-established engineering firm specializing in the repair, overhaul, and maintenance of rail vehicles and components. This role requires regular travel to client sites across the UK, so flexibility is essential.
As an NDT Inspector, you will play a vital part in ensuring compliance with industry standards, including BS EN 15085, by performing a wide range of non-destructive testing methods.
Key Responsibilities
*Perform MPI, UT, VT, Dye Penetrant, and Eddy Current inspections
*Create and maintain technical documents (technique sheets, SOPs, templates)
*Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 Standard
*Set up, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment
*Interpret and evaluate test results, prepare detailed reports
*Develop safe and compliant examination techniques
*Travel frequently to customer and client sites for on-site inspections
*Conduct specialized and advanced inspections as required
What You'll Need
*Minimum PCN Level II MT, VT, PT, UT (3.1, 3.2)
*PCN LII ET & UT (3.7) Advantageous
*Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in NDT
*Strong understanding of VT, MPI, DPI, UT and associated standards
*Analytical thinker with a proactive and positive attitude
*Excellent attention to detail and safety-focused mindset
*Comfortable working independently and solving problems on the go
*Full UK Driving Licence required
