Job Purpose:

To maintain stock integrity, ensuring accurate stock control minimising ATL contractual stock liabilities. Producing accurate KPI information. Warehouse layout optimisation ensuring productivity is maximised.

Organise inventory checks and wall to wall stock takes, making recommendations to standard working practices to enhance accuracy and operational performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Managing inventory involves tracking assorted items, suppliers, and orders.

Strong organisational skills are crucial to maintain accurate records and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.

Inventory controllers analyse data related to stock levels, demand patterns, and lead times.

They make informed decisions about reorder points, safety stock, and optimal inventory levels.

Precise record-keeping and monitoring of inventory transactions are essential.

Small errors can lead to significant discrepancies.

Inventory managers collaborate with suppliers, warehouse staff, and other departments.

Effective communication ensures smooth operations and timely replenishment.

Unexpected issues like stock shortages, damaged goods, or delays require quick problem-solving skills.

Familiarity with inventory management software, spreadsheets, and databases is valuable.

Understanding supply chain dynamics, procurement processes, and logistics organisation helps optimise inventory management.

Experience :

Proven working experience in a Warehouse Operation.

Proficiency in inventory software, warehouse systems

  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven experience managing year end stock takes and managing inventory differences.

Qualifications Requirements

  • MS Office and other specified software
  • Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred).
  • Current Forklift license (desirable not essential).
  • Excellent Client communications skills with the ability to present information clearly.
  • Additional Requirements:
  • Qualified to GCSE level in English and Maths (Or Equivalent).
  • High level of honesty and integrity.
  • You will from time to time be required to undertake other duties of a similar nature as reasonably required by your line manager.
