Continuous Improvement Manager – Food Manufacturing
Location: Derby
Salary: Up to £55k + Great Benefits
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

We’re proud to be working in partnership with a leading food manufacturing business to recruit a CI Manager to join their operations team in Derby.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key role that will shape the future of efficiency, quality, and culture on site. You’ll lead lean and CI projects across the business, partnering with stakeholders in production, engineering, quality, and supply chain to embed a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

The Role:

  • Lead and manage continuous improvement initiatives across the site
  • Analyse operational KPIs to identify inefficiencies and waste
  • Use Lean and Six Sigma tools (5S, Kaizen, SMED, VSM) to drive improvements
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-lasting solutions
  • Deliver training and coach staff in new processes and methodologies
  • Track and report ROI of improvement projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and build stakeholder engagement
  • Integrate safety-first principles into every project

What You’ll Need:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a CI or Lean Manufacturing role 
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Strong problem-solving skills (FMEA, DMAIC, SPC)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience with manufacturing systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, BRC)
  • Project management capability
  • A drive to engage and motivate teams and build a culture of continuous improvement
