Vectis Recruitment is exclusively partnering with a highly successful division of a global manufacturer serving the Aerospace & Defence sectors to manage the recruitment of a Divisional Trade Compliance Manager. A new role due to company expansion, you will oversee all aspects of trade compliance across multiple manufacturing sites in the UK & EU. Applicants are sought with a good understanding of Global Trade Compliance preferably in the aerospace, defence or high technology sectors.

The Role

Design and introduce programs and best practises to ensure compliance with global legislation.

Lead the divisions export control and trade compliance function.

Ensure compliance standards are upheld, this includes ITAR and EAR regimes and dual-use regulations.

Support trade compliance employees by providing guidance on compliance import/export transactions.

Ensure compliance training programs are implemented across the division.

Support the development and maintenance of robust trade compliance procedures and systems, to ensure best practise and consistency across the division.

Identify and assess any compliance risks, issues and provide mitigation strategies.

Monitor changes to trade regulations.

Prepare export/import licence applications.

The Person

Significant experience in trade compliance with a strong understanding of dual use and military export controls and import regulations.

Experience in the aerospace, defence, or high-technology sectors is preferable.

Proven track record of introducing new policies and practices.

Previous experience in preparing and submitting export license applications.

Strong understanding of government filing and shipment declaration systems and the ability to run reports for compliance tracking.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
