We have a fantastic opportunity for an Engineer to join one of the world’s most respected automotive manufacturers as a Press Engineer. Working with cutting-edge equipment and automation systems while helping shape the future of sustainable vehicle production.

Technology You will Work With:

As part of the Body Division (Press & Weld departments), you will be hands-on with advanced equipment including:

  • Komatsu 5000-tonne Press with servo-driven transfer and twin Kawasaki robot palletisers
  • Two Komatsu 2300-tonne high-speed press lines with tri-axis servo systems
  • Two fully automated 800-tonne Komatsu blanking lines
  • Eleven 30–35 tonne radio-controlled overhead gantry cranes

The Role:

You will play a key part in supporting day-to-day production and delivering engineering-led improvements. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the introduction of new systems or process changes
  • Planning and supervising contractor activity
  • Investigating and resolving safety, quality, and cost issues
  • Collaborating with production teams and international suppliers
  • Driving energy-saving and carbon reduction initiatives
  • Supporting vehicle projects including motorsport and future mobility

What We are Looking For:

  • A 2:1 degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering – or equivalent experience
  • Background in manufacturing engineering within automotive, FMCG, or similar high-volume sectors
  • Strong knowledge of robotics, electrical circuitry, PLC ladder programming (Rockwell), servo/inverter systems, DC drives
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
