Work Experience
- Work transparently with variousengineeringdiscipline leads / teams to provide clear and concise reports and information regarding progress and management of Risk and Opportunities in relation to theEngineeringactivities.
- Bring learnings & operationalbest practicesfrom other engagements.
- Undertaketechnicaland feasibility studies and siteinvestigations
- Develop detailed requirement specifications
- Support projects as they evolve through theproject engineeringlifecycles
- Assess the potential risks of specific projects, as well as undertakerisk managementin specialist roles
- Communicate and liaise effectively with a wide set of project stakeholders
- Support governance meetings.
- Think both creatively and logically to resolve design and development problems
- Beadaptable, asproject requirementsevolve, and ensure relevant parties are notified of changes in the project
- Compile and peer review project andtechnicalreports.
Domain Knowledge
- Design and implement cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety and reliability
- Develop a project specification with colleagues, often including those from otherengineeringdisciplines
- Research and develop products
- Develop and use new materials and technologies
- Develop, test and evaluate theoretical designs
- Produce details of specifications and outline designs
- Recommend modifications following prototype test results
- Use research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly those in mathematical modelling and computer-aided design
- Consider the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints
- Experience in a marine/dock environment would be beneficial
