Job Role: Calibration Engineer Location: Derbyshire

Shift: Mon - Fri (shift 6am-2pm / 2pm -12midnight)Salary: £29k + Shift allowance

Job Role Responsibilities:

As a Calibration Engineer, you'll be responsible for the management and execution of all calibration activities within the business. From maintaining compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards to ensuring the accuracy and readiness of our inspection tools, your role is critical to our quality assurance and production processes.

  • Take full ownership and accountability for all calibration activities
  • Manage the calibration and storage of all inspection equipment and gauges
  • Maintain calibration records and certificates in line with ISO 9001:2015
  • Ensure all issued inspection equipment is within calibration
  • Collaborate with Purchasing for efficient external calibration services
  • Identify and propose new or replacement inspection tools when required
  • Escalate major equipment issues promptly to the Inspection Team Leader
  • Support inspection processes

The Candidate:

  • Strong understanding of inspection processes and capabilities
  • Experience with inspection equipment
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 compliance requirements
  • Problem-solving mindset with an engineering-driven approach
  • Proactive and responsible attitude toward ownership and continuous improvement
