W Talent are exclusively recruiting on behalf of a large, well-established manufacturing business located in Belper, Derbyshire who are looking to recruit a Lead Maintenance Engineer to join a dynamic team within a high-tech, fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will be working 40 hours per week, across 3 week shift rotation period which include Early's, Afternoons, and nights.

Role Overview

As a key member of the maintenance team, you will provide multi-skilled engineering support across the facility. You'll work on a wide range of machinery from automated presses to robotic systems ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance in accordance with the site plan.
  • Respond swiftly to breakdowns to minimise downtime and maintain production flow.
  • Conduct fault diagnosis and repair across mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving projects.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with current health and safety legislation.

Candidate Requirements

  • Previous experience in a multi-skilled maintenance engineering role is essential.
  • Proven track record in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment.

  • Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a proactive and flexible approach.
  • Willingness to work across rotating shifts (mornings, afternoons, nights).
