People Solutions is recruiting for a Class 1 Driver for a well-established client in Derby and Rocester.
The position offers a pay rate between £16.66 and £20.82 per hour, with ongoing work and permanent positions available for the right candidates.
Candidates must have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles and hold a valid UK Category CE licence, CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card.
The role involves making 3-5 trunk runs a day, safely driving Class 1 vehicles, and complying with company policies and regulations.
Additional benefits include weekly pay, overtime opportunities, 33 days of holiday once permanent, and training provided before starting.

HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER

MONDAY - FRIDAY DAYS: Start times between 04.00am – 08.00am

PAY RATE: £16.66 - £20.82 PER HOUR

Day to Day Duties:

Driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to make 3 - 5 trunk runs a day
Curtain sider work
Make on time deliveries
Communicate with the transport team
Follow Company policies and procedures
Comply with driving rules and regulations
Strapping loads correctly (awkward loads)

Essential Skills:

Hold a valid UK Category CE licence
Hold UK CPC and UK Digital Tachograph Card
Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles
Maximum of six penalty points for minor infringements with no major endorsement codes
Work in a professional manner
Excellent communication skills

Desirable Experience:

Experience in strapping abnormal loads would be beneficial as well as navigating tight delivery depots

Training

You will be required to pass a driving assessment before attending a three-day company programme
