The Role:We are looking for a caring and proactive Teaching Assistant who is Level 3 qualified, ready to support children's learning across the Primary age range. In this role, you'll be working closely with class teachers to provide high-quality classroom support, contribute to planning and delivery of activities, and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment. This position is full-time and could become permanent for the right person.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils individually or in small groups to help them access the curriculum and achieve their potential

  • Assist the teacher in planning and delivering creative and engaging lessons

  • Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a calm, safe learning environment

  • Support pupils with additional needs, using tailored strategies to remove learning barriers

  • Contribute to observations, assessments, and planning in collaboration with the class teacher

Minimum Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or equivalent) - this is essential

  • At least 6 months of experience in a Primary School setting

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development

To be considered for the higher end of the pay bracket, candidates should demonstrate:

  • Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND

  • Experience working across EYFS, KS1, and KS2

  • Training in behaviour management or other relevant CPD

  • Flexibility and initiative in the classroom
