The Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled HLTA to support teaching and learning across the school, with a particular focus on pupils with Special Educational Needs. This is an exciting position for someone who is committed to inclusive practice and eager to make a meaningful difference.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead whole-class sessions and small-group teaching under teacher guidance

Deliver differentiated and targeted learning activities, including for pupils with SEND
-
Support personalised learning through adapted resources and evidence-based interventions
-
Provide mentoring and support to other classroom assistants

Contribute to a calm, positive and values-led classroom environment

Track and monitor pupil progress, contributing to planning and assessment

Promote independence, resilience and personal development

Work in partnership with teachers, families and external professionals
Person Specification
We want to hear from you if you:

Hold an HLTA qualification (or equivalent)
-
Have experience working with primary-aged pupils, ideally including SEN support
-
Are confident adapting learning for a wide range of abilities and needs

Possess strong communication, organisation and behaviour-management skills

Are reflective, compassionate and able to work collaboratively
