About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and proactive Pastoral Coach to support learners' personal development, wellbeing, and academic progress. Working closely with the SENCO, you'll help deliver high-quality tutorials, lead enrichment activities, and provide one-to-one mentoring to students facing challenges. This role is central to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive college environment where every learner can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging tutorials and enrichment activities that support personal growth and wellbeing
  • Provide 1:1 pastoral support and monitor learner engagement, attendance, and progress
  • Work collaboratively with staff and external agencies to meet learners' needs
  • Contribute to staff training, quality improvement, and the sharing of best practice
  • Support the induction of new learners and the mentoring of staff within the Progress Coach team

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience in pastoral support, youth work, or education
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage young people
  • Understanding of safeguarding, mental health, and inclusive practices
  • A team player with a learner-centred, solution-focused approach
